Day one...

Today was my first official day of being a stay at home mom/wife. Gulp.
I have always identified myself as a hairstylist. I was proud of my profession. It never felt like a typical "job" to me.
I have been wanting to quit working for a while now, but to me it felt like I was giving up. On what I don't know. Most of my fellow mom friends still work outside of the house,(and enjoy it) so I felt almost embarrassed. I even had a couple of people ask me "Why would you stop working?!?" like I was making a mistake. Yes I know I will have those days where I will wish I had a job to escape to! I will want to run away occasionally(what mom doesn't?) But I have amazing girlfriends that will be there with one phone call for a girls night out :) Also I am not ashamed to admit that a nice strong vodka cocktail or glass of wine is a good friend to have on those long days when my kids and or husband push every. last. button.
Don't judge me.
So what did I do with my first day here??
I went grocery shopping(usual Sunday trip)
I took a nap when Reese did. And it was AMAZING!
I made a casserole for dinner. I don't normally make casseroles, but it felt very Suzy Homemaker to me, and it just sounded delicious.
I gave Reese a bath. I have to admit, I sometimes slack off with this. She doesn't get dirty or sweaty most of the time(or at least that's what I tell myself) What usually ends up happening is before I know it, it's 7 and she is beyond tired and ready to go to bed. So I just say "screw it I'll give her one tomorrow"
I scrubbed my kitchen from top to bottom.
Now I'm going to go watch some Sex and the City....I have watched every episode of that show a hundred times, and it never gets old.

Keep coming back to read. I hope to keep you entertained with what REALLY happens in my life. Not the phony "I'm a perfect mom and wife" story we usually see:)
